Underneath, it is the same instrument the full reading uses: your birth moment resolved to a real place on Earth, real planetary positions for that moment, and a typology read off the result. Nothing is guessed from your star sign, and nothing is generated from a description you picked yourself. If you run it without a birth time, it says so on the result rather than quietly filling the gap.
Your result comes back as one of five lights: Nova, Starforge, Comet, Prism or Moonglass. Those names are ours. The chart underneath is not, and we say so plainly rather than letting you assume we invented the whole thing.
We use our own vocabulary because the reading is our own synthesis, and because a name that carries a whole tradition's baggage tends to get read as a verdict. A mirror works better when it describes you than when it labels you.

About this reading. The Five Lights Method is our own synthesis and language. It reads two time-tested reflection traditions and one modern purpose map through one lens and one vocabulary: Human Design's typology of energy and decision-making, the North Node's model of growth direction, and the four-circle purpose map widely known as Ikigai. We didn't invent any of them and we don't claim to; we built the synthesis, the reading, and the names you see here. You can still run it. Tick the box that says you do not know your exact time and the calculator uses midday, then says so on your result. It reads clearly for most people even so. If you were born near a boundary, the exact minute can shift it, and the result tells you that rather than presenting a coin-flip as a certainty.
Minutes matter. The chart is calculated from real planetary positions at your exact moment and place of birth, so a few minutes can move a borderline result. A birth certificate is the best source. A parent's memory is a reasonable second.
